Evite a palavra 'but'
Por exemplo:
‘Ellen, you have worked really hard on the Company X report, but [ponto de crítica]".
‘But’ desta forma indica uma contradição, tal como as palavras ‘although’ e ‘however’.
‘George, you need to spell check your reports and you need to turn them in on time.’ This message is not really performance feedback.’
It implies that Jane did not do something well with her reports, but it doesn’t report exactly what happened. Providing clarity on what occurred is the aim of feedback.
Luminosidade
‘How did that happen?’
‘What was your thought process?’
‘Why do you approach this situation in this way?’
‘What do you think could use improvement?’
‘How can you/we prevent that outcome in the future?’
‘How could we have done better?’
‘How can I have done a better job of helping you?’
‘What do you need from me in the future?’
‘I have observed, …’
‘I have noticed, …’
‘I have seen, …’
‘Do you mind if I share some feedback with you that I think will help you be more effective?’
‘you’re a good salesman, so I’m sure you see the need to be more patient with customers.’
‘Hank, when you cut Alex off in the meeting, I noticed he looked irritated and he didn’t speak up for the rest of the meeting. When you don’t hear a person out, they will probably feel disrespected and no longer want to contribute. When the entire team doesn’t feel safe to contribute, our performance will suffer.’
